Google Guides' Meetup - Worldwide Cafe Walk

This was a new experience for me. The day started out with just the perfect weather for an outing: not too warm, and not too gloomy. After moving about 30km from my origin, I finally arrived at Happy Coffee Cafe, situated at Spar Mall, Illupeju, Lagos.

The venue is just chic, to be apt. It's also not all in the open for everyone to see. I guess that's one of the perks of being a local guide; discovering hidden and trendy places.

Not long after, I had my very first ground coffee drink, ever. But before then, I met up with fellow guides. I could not hide my confusion about the menu list. I never once thought they were so many varieties of coffee drinks that would even include alcohol infused ones. I eventually settled for the chai - latte. My latte experience was all shades of creamy milk and sweetness. Made from the masala chai, the drink is quite common in India homes.

Lagosians are hardly into brewed coffee, no wonder a few cafes exist.

I enjoyed interacting with the guides on upcoming events and common interests. The cafe ambience made it all the more enjoyable.

The search for my favourite coffee flavour will probably be an unending one.
